NVS Recruitment 2026 Overview
Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) is an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, managing over 650 co-educational, residential Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) across rural districts of India. NVS conducts national recruitments for Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT), Post Graduate Teachers (PGT), Female Staff Nurses, Catering Assistants, and administrative staff.
NVS 2026 has announced approximately 7,500 vacancies across teaching and non-teaching cadres. The selection framework includes a Computer-Based Test (120–130 marks subject + 30 marks Language Competency Test with mandatory 40% qualifying marks in each language section), followed by an Interview for PGT and document verification for TGT posts.
As fully residential schools, JNVs provide teachers with 100% free furnished residential accommodation, complimentary meals in school dining halls, and 7th CPC salaries ranging from Level 7 (₹44,900 basic) for TGT up to Level 8 (₹47,600 basic) for PGT with in-hand monthly remuneration of ₹55,000–₹78,000.
