KVS Recruitment 2026 Overview
Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, operating over 1,250 Kendriya Vidyalayas across India and three abroad. KVS conducts national competitive recruitments to select Primary Teachers (PRT), Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT), Post Graduate Teachers (PGT), Principals, and administrative staff.
KVS 2026 has notified approximately 13,404 vacancies across teaching and non-teaching cadres. The examination format includes a Computer-Based Test (180 questions for 180 marks in 180 minutes covering General English, General Hindi, General Awareness, Reasoning, Computer Literacy, Perspectives on Education and Leadership / Pedagogy, and Subject Specific Syllabus), followed by a Professional Competency Test (Demo Teaching of 30 marks and Interview of 30 marks).
Appointed educators receive 7th Pay Commission scales ranging from Pay Level 6 for PRT (₹35,400 basic) up to Level 8 for PGT (₹47,600 basic) with monthly in-hand salaries of ₹45,000–₹75,000, along with central government residential staff quarters, medical benefits, and nationwide transfer privileges.

Educational Qualification
