SSC MTS 2026 Overview
SSC MTS (Multi Tasking Staff Non-Technical) and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) is India's leading 10th-pass central government recruitment exam conducted by the Staff Selection Commission. It fills General Central Service Group C non-gazetted, non-ministerial vacancies across all Central Ministries, Departments, and Field Formations.
SSC MTS 2026 is slated to recruit for approximately 9,583 vacancies. The examination format includes a single computer-based test divided into two mandatory sessions: Session 1 (Numerical and Mathematical Ability & Reasoning, qualifying with no negative marking) and Session 2 (General Awareness & English Language and Comprehension, which determines the final merit ranking). Havaldar candidates additionally appear for a Physical Efficiency Test (PET/PST).
