SSC GD 2026 अवलोकन
SSC GD Constable (General Duty) is one of India's largest paramilitary recruitment drives conducted annually by the Staff Selection Commission. The examination selects personnel for General Duty Constable posts across Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) including BSF, CISF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB, as well as the Secretariat Security Force (SSF) and Rifleman (General Duty) in Assam Rifles.
SSC GD 2026 has notified approximately 39,481 vacancies across all participating paramilitary forces for both male and female candidates. The multi-stage selection framework begins with a Computer-Based Examination (CBE) of 80 objective questions (160 marks in 60 minutes) covering Reasoning, General Knowledge, Elementary Mathematics, and English/Hindi. Qualifiers proceed to Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET), followed by Detailed Medical Examination (DME) and Document Verification.
Selected constables are placed in Pay Level 3 (₹21,700–₹69,100 basic pay) under the 7th CPC. The initial monthly in-hand salary ranges between ₹28,000 and ₹36,000 depending on deployment zones, boosted by risk allowances, ration money, uniform allowance, and free accommodation in force cantonments.
