AFCAT 2026 अवलोकन
Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) is the national officer entrance examination conducted twice a year (AFCAT 1 & AFCAT 2) by the Indian Air Force to recruit male and female commissioned officers for Flying Branch and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branches.
AFCAT 2026 has declared approximately 317 vacancies for entry into the Air Force Academy (AFA), Dundigal. The selection procedure consists of a 2-hour Online Computer-Based Test (100 questions for 300 marks covering Verbal Ability, Numerical Ability, Reasoning & Military Aptitude, and General Awareness), followed by the 5-day Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) Interview, Computerized Pilot Selection System (CPSS for Flying branch aspirants), and Medical Examination.
Commissioned officers start as Flying Officers at Pay Level 10 (₹56,100 starting basic pay) with monthly in-hand compensation of ₹85,000–₹1,20,000, complemented by Military Service Pay (MSP of ₹15,500/month), Flying Branch allowances (₹25,000/month), free officer mess and sports club memberships, and furnished cantonment accommodations.
